He gained fame for directing hit thrillers like Dalaal, Teesra Kaun?, Agni Sakshi, and Ghulam-E-Mustafa.
His film Agni Sakshi was critically acclaimed and earned him a Filmfare Best Director nomination.
Partho Ghosh passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 75, due to a heart attack at his home in Mumbai.
