Pasupathy is a Tamil film actor. He has done many notable roles in various shades, with famous stars of the Tamil film industry, also known as Kollywood.

He was born in 1968 near Maduravayil in Tamil Nadu, India. He was popularly an All India Radio Tamil Jockey from 1988-1993 as a news reader and also on the Deepavali Celebration show. He had also acted in a number of small serials - including a small part in S.Ve. Shekhar's Vanna Kolangal. 

He first came to fame in famous doordarshan serial Vizhutugal directed by Gopi Bhimsingh, which was instrumental in launching a great number of present day television stars. His first break in commercial cinema was in Housefull where he played a corrupt cop. He also had a small role in the film Alavandhan as a fellow prisoner of the dumb guy (Riaz Khan)

He got his major recognized role in Kannathil Muthamittal where he played an LTTE cadre. He then worked as a villian in a number of films such as Thirupachi as 'Pattasu Baalu', Dhool as Aadhi, and Virumandi. He later branched out into comedy (Mumbai Express) and in supporting role in Raman Thediya Seethai. He has acted the lead in films, such as the well-received Veyyil and Kuselan.

He bagged the best villian filmfare award for the year 2004 for Virumandi beating his counterpart for Dhool.

He is married to Geetha Mohandas who once worked as a Ground Staff of Indian Airlines. He has two children, a son and a daughter.
