Poonam Pandey is an Indian model and actress known for her bold roles, entered Bollywood with her debut film "Nasha" in 2013. Born in Kanpur, she initially gained recognition as one of the top contestants in the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest.

Pandey attracted media attention through her daring posts on social media platforms, particularly Twitter, where she shared semi-nude photos. She gained widespread recognition when she promised to strip for the Indian cricket team if it won the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Despite India's victory, she did not fulfill her promise due to public disapproval and alleged denial of permission by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Her controversial actions, including posing nude after Kolkata Knight Riders' IPL 5 win and releasing a sex tape on Instagram, stirred further attention. Despite facing bans on her mobile app and controversial videos, Pandey ventured into Bollywood with the film "Nasha" in 2013.

In her personal life, Pandey married Sam Bombay in September 2020, but their relationship faced turmoil with allegations of molestation and assault. Following legal proceedings and controversies, including her arrest for filming a nude video in Goa, Pandey found herself embroiled in the major porn film racketing controversy scandal in 2022.

Death Controversy

On February 2nd, 2024, Poonam Pandey was reported to have passed away due to cervical cancer, according to her official Instagram handle. However, she later clarified that the information was false, apologized for the confusion, and revealed that the false news was shared to raise awareness about cervical cancer.
