Rajan P Dev Biography

Rajan P. Dev was an Indian film and drama actor. He was born at Cherthala in Alappuzha district of Kerala. He acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies. He came to limelight for his characterization of Kochu Vava in the drama Kattukuthira, which was later made into the Malayalam film as Kattukuthira, with Thilakan as Kochu Vava. Rajan P Dev died in Kochi on 29th July, 2009, at 6.30 in the morning. He was admitted at Lakeshore hospital after vomiting blood.

He was under treatment for liver disease for a long time. He is survived by his wife Santha, daughter Ashamma and son Jibile Raj. The last film that he had acted in was Pattanathil Bhootham, in which superstar Mammootty played the main role.
