Sapthami Gowda Biography

Sapthami Gowda is an Indian actress who predominantly works in the Kannada film industry. She co-starred with Rishab Shetty as Leela in the Kannada film Kantara in 2022. She also featured in the 2019 movie Popcorn Monkey Tiger, which was directed by Soori. She won the SIIMA Award for best debut actress for her noteworthy work in the film Popcorn Monkey Tiger.

Personal Life

Actress Sapthami Gowda, better known as Sapthami, hails from India. She was born on June 8, 1996, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, to Umesh Sk Doddi and Shantha Madaiah. Her father works as an assistant police commissioner. Uthare Gowda, her younger sister, is her only sibling. The Sandalwood entertainment business has employed Sapthami Gowda thus far, and films in the Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages have seen her talent. In addition to studying PUC at Kumarans PU College in Bangalore, Sapthami attended Baldwin Girls High School for her education. Subsequently, she enrolled in the Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) to complete her civil engineering degree. Sapthami began her career as a software professional and spent a year working for Accenture.

Career

Sapthami Gowda made her screen breakthrough with the 2020 release of the criminal thriller "Popcorn Monkey Tiger" by Duniya Suri. She earned a considerable amount of fan and critical recognition, as well as multiple accolades. Sapthami was honoured with a SIIMA Award for her performance in the film Popcorn Monkey Tiger. She appeared in that movie alongside Dhananjay and Amrutha Iyengar.

Later, she was given the chance to portray the main notable character in Rishab Shetty's film. She was given a fantastic opportunity early on, so she took advantage of it and played the lead role in the 400-crore-grossing film "Kantara" as Leela, a forest tribal officer, which drew immediate attention from both the filmmakers and the audience. Given the minimal addition to the movie, it earned recognition for the 400 crores the movie has provided for Sapthami.
