Surbhi Jyoti, born on 29 May 1988 in Jalandhar, Punjab, India, is a prominent Indian television actress and anchor. She holds Indian nationality and has become one of the most recognized faces on Hindi television, known for her versatile roles and engaging screen presence.
Surbhi Jyoti was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, into a Punjabi Brahmin family. Her father is a businessman in the rubber chemical industry, and she has a younger brother, Sooraj Jyoti. Surbhi excelled academically and was a national-level debater. She earned a Master’s degree in English Literature from Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar.
Early Career:
Surbhi began her career in regional theatre and radio before acting in Punjabi films such as Ik Kudi Punjab Di and Raula Pai Gaya.
Television Breakthrough:
She gained nationwide recognition in 2012 with the lead role of Zoya Farooqui in Qubool Hai on Zee TV, earning multiple awards, including GR8! Performer of the Year (Female).
Naagin 3:
In 2018, she played Bela Sehgal in Naagin 3 on Colors TV, establishing herself as one of the top television leads.
Digital and Film:
Surbhi made her Bollywood debut with Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai? (2021) and has appeared in digital series like Gunaah.
Surbhi Jyoti married her long-time partner, actor Sumit Suri, on 27 October 2024 in a traditional ceremony held at Jim Corbett, Uttarakhand.
