Vinodhini Vaidyanathan Biography

Vinodhini Vaidyanathan is an Indian actress and writer who predominantly works in Kollywood. Her work has been primarily in theatre and film in Tamil. Her acting breakthrough was in the role of Ananya's sister in A. R. Murugadoss' Engaeyum Eppothum. She gained the most notoriety following her roles in OK Kanmani, Appa, Ratsasan, Comali, and Soorarai Pottru.

Personal Life

Vinodhini was born on August 24, 1981. Following completion of her undergraduate studies in science at Chennai's Ethiraj College for Women, she progressed on to XIME in Bangalore to earn her MBA in human resources administration. She additionally holds a second master's degree in psychology from the Institute of Madras as well as a postgraduate certificate in yoga therapy from Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram.

Career

Vinodhini also directs stage shows and writes plays. Since 2012, her drama troupe, "Theatre Zero," has been producing plays, including Petti Kathaigal and Nagercoil Expressum Nadaga Companyum. Grand Rehearsal, one of her pieces, was the first Tamil production to be presented at The Hindu Theatre Fest, an event that primarily showcases English-language plays from India and overseas. Vinodhini has acted in a number of additional movies since 2011, including Pisaasu, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, and two flicks with Mani Ratnam: Kadal and O Kadhal Kanmani. As the gangster's wife in Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda and in Balu Mahendra's Thalaimuraigal, she also had a big supporting role. By 2016, Vinodhini had begun to receive praise for her efforts, and she ended up winning the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award for Distinguished Performer in a Comedy Role (Female) 2016 for her part as a young lawyer in Aandavan Kattalai.
