Dev Son Of Mudde Gowda Review
Indrajit Lankesh's Dev S/O of Mudde Gowda is a colourful movie and it is an urban-centric film. The movie is loosely inspired by Bollywood movie Wake Up Sid. It is about a careless rich-kid's journey towards finding his feet. However, unlike the original, the director has failed to construct the plots, which is the biggest drawback of the movie.
The narration begins with a brief introduction of Mudde Gowda (Ananth Nag)'s rag to riches story. Having spent his childhood and youth in hardship, he gives best of everything to his son Dev (Diganth) to see that at least his son enjoys the pleasures of that age. However, he wants Dev to be on top of the things and when Dev fails in his exams, situation changes.
While his father wants to help him in his business, Dev claims that he wants to be an actor. As a result, the clash between the father and son leads to their separation. In between the story, choreographer Kavya (Charmy Kaur) and Dev became friends that help the latter to get an accommodation at her house when he came out of his father's shadow. The remaining part tells about whether he succeeds in his mission and about Dev-Kavya's bonding.
