KD - The Devil Story
KD - The Devil is a Kannada period action drama movie directed by Prem. The movie casts Dhruva Sarja, Reeshma Nanaiah, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, and Shilpa Shetty are in the main lead roles along with Jisshu Sengupta, Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, and many others have seen in supporting roles. The music was composed by Arjun Janya while the cinematography was done by William David and it is edited by Srinivas. P. Prabhu. The film is produced by Suprith under KVN Productions banner.
Story
It is the early 1980s. A wedding celebration is underway at the house of police officer Soorappa. Suddenly, the bodies of four policemen who had once worked with him are discovered. Fearing that Soorappa might be in danger as well, the police force rushes in to provide security. It is at this point that the blood-soaked past of Kalabhairava (Sudeep) and Kalidas (Dhruva Sarja) begins to unfold.
Through Soorappa’s narration, the story takes us back to around 1975, when the underworld of Bengaluru was ruled by a dreaded don named Dhak Deva (Sanjay Dutt). With the support of the state’s Chief Minister, Deva rises from being an ordinary wrestler to becoming a powerful don, striking fear into the hearts of the police. Kalidas, who shares a blood connection with Deva, grows up idolizing him. However, in a dramatic turn of events, Kalidas eventually stands against the very man he once worshipped, leading to intense violence and confrontation.
What happens next? Why does the innocent Kalidas transform into a fierce force of destruction? What circumstances drive him to unleash his rage? The answers to these questions unfold on the big screen.
Release Date
KD – The Devil movie was released in theaters on April 30, 2026. The film had a pan-India theatrical release, and it got released simultaneously in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, making it accessible to audiences across multiple languages.
