Kathakali

Kathakali is a Tamil action - romantic movie  direction by 'Pasanga' and 'Merina' fame Pandiraj. Vishal makes the male lead role in the movie and jointly produce the movie with director Pandiraj. Catherine Tresa plays the female lead role. Actor Vishal says “Kathakali is a Tamil colloquial word used in expressions like ‘kathakali aada thayaraayittan’ (he is ready for the ‘game’)." Kathakali Plot:   Kathakali revolves around a gruesome murder of a local thug named Thamba. A search is on to uncover the murderer and the key to solving this mystery forms the crux of the story.  Vishal, comes back to his home town from the United states and gets involved in the murder of Thamba. Is he the one who killed the most famous goon of Cuddalore? How does he get himself out of the sticky situation? These questions are answered in the remaining story. Production The movie story happens in a day while the lead character travels between Chennai and Kadalur.” Also Vishal revealed that the film was a whodunit thriller which happens  over the course of one night, and that it was based on a real-life incident which had happened to Pandiraj's friend. The first filming schedule began in July 2015, with Catherine Tresa joining the team as the lead heroine after talks with Keerthy Suresh were unsuccessful. The film's title was revealed to be Kathakali in September 2015. Regina Cassandra also joined the film's shoot in November 2015. Soundtrack The film's soundtrack album and background score were composed by Hiphop Tamizha. The soundtrack album consists of four tracks and was released on 24 December 2015.
