O2 is one of those films that begins on an ambitious note with an interesting premise, but misses the mark.
Rithvik's earnest effort in playing a kid affected by a disease is laudable.
O2 is a film that is good but could have been great. It had the right ingredients but suffered in parts due to flaws in writing.
O2 may well slip to the lowest depths of audience appeal.
Debutante director GS. Viknesh has chosen the theme that nature is both the punisher and the saviour of mankind and has stated it in a mostly engaging screenplay.
Overall, the cast manages to hold its own, leaving you convinced of their inability to breathe as the oxygen levels go down in the bus and how their desperation to survive erases their humanity.
