Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai New Cast: Rajan Shahi has been entertaining viewers with his Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for the past 14 years. While Hina Khan and Karan Mehra initially played the lead roles, the family drama currently revolves around the third generation with Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod as protagonists Abhimanyu and Akshara respectively.

However, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is confirmed to take another generation leap in November after which the current leads will exit to make way for the fourth generation. As the daily soap is set to complete 15 successful years in the coming January, the makers are looking forward to the commencement of the new season which will see an all-new cast.

As reported earlier, Samridhi Shukla is confirmed to essay the lead role of Akshara and Abhinav's daughter Abhira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai post the generation leap. While Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia's Choti Sarrdaarni co-star Shehzada Dhami has been signed to play the new hero, the makers have finally roped in the actress who's set to play the grown-up Ruhi in the long-running drama.

According to an India Forums report, social media influencer and air hostess Pratiksha Honmukhe is likely to enter Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as grown-up Ruhi after the leap. However, an official announcement regarding the same is still awaited.

WHO IS PRATIKSHA HONMUKHE?

For those who are unaware, Pratiksha Honmukhe is an air hostess by profession who owns a huge fan following on social media. The stunner has over 263k followers on Instagram and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is going to mark her TV debut.

While Preeti Amin is confirmed to replace Pranali Rathod as Akshara, there's no clarity on whether Arohi's character will be a part of YRKKH after the leap or not.
