Srinu Vaitla's latest directorial venture Baadshah starring Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in leads, has created lot of curiosity among the film goers. Although it has a routine story, the film makes sure that it reaches the expectations that it has created among the viewers prior its release. It is very good masala entertainer with superb performance and rich production values. Junior NTR has proved that he is the real Baadshah.

Baadshah is an action movie with all commercial ingredients that impress the mass. Junior NTR's stylish and electrifying performance is the main attraction in the film. Srinu Vaitla's interesting narration, S Thaman's rocking music, excellent picturisation, Gopimohan and Kona Venkat's punch dialogues and funny one-lines, Brahmanandam and MS Narayana's rib-tickling comedy, exotic locales, beautiful costumes and a few other things are its other highlights. The biggest drawback of the film is that a few dragging moments in the first half.

A couple of romantic songs, Junior NTR's electrifying fight sequences, MS Narayana's comedy, Mahesh Babu's voice-over keep you engaged in the first half. But it is the second half which is a joy ride for you. It is full of entertainment values like superb comedy and peppy, stunning fights, rich visuals and fast-paced narration, which makes you glued to screens. Thanks to Srinu Vaitla for his excellent direction.

Sadhu Bhai (Kelly Dorji) is a don of international crime syndicate and Baadshah (NTR) is an intelligent and aggressive player in his team. Baadshah's father Ranjan (Mukesh Rushi), who is a trusted aide of Sadhu, operates a very profitable casino in Macau. But over a period of time, Sadhu decides to finish off Baadshah. Why he takes this decision? What is Baadshah's secret motive? Answers to these questions will form the crux of the story.

Srinu Vaitla, who is adept at making a perfect comedy film, has once again proved that he is master in the trade. He has chosen a simple story for Baadshah, but has created a brilliant screenplay. What makes it interesting is its entertainment quotient. The movie has fast-paced narration and he has got a complete grip on it. He has tapped out excellent work from each department. His characterisation is also good.

Junior NTR is the showman in Baadshah and he has given brilliant performance. His aggressive, stylish acting, comedy timing, effortless dialogue delivery, dance moves and stunning action are sure to rock you. The actor pays tribute to his grandfather with a sangeeth episode based on a medley of Sr NTR's hit songs.

Kajal Aggarwal has less scope for her role, but she impresses you with her Banthi philosophy and funny one liners. She looks quite glamorous in the movie. Kajal Aggarwal, who has earlier worked with NTR in Brindavanam, once again makes sure that her chemistry with NTR rocks.

As Inspector Padmanabha Simha, Brahmanandam is hilarious and a big asset for the film. His scenes with NTR and Nasser are rib-tickling. MS Narayana has a tailor made role and as Revenge Nageswara Rao, he also makes you laugh. His comedy with NTR, Vennela Kishore and Kajal will help the director maintain the interest of the audience in the first half of the movie.

The director has used Superstar Mahesh Babu's voice in few places in the first half and it is effective. Siddharth has a small, but crucial role and he has done justice for it. Others like Mukesh Rushi, Kelly Dorji, Nasser, Suhasini, Navdeep, Pragathi, Jayaprakash Reddy, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Master Bharath, Chandra Mohan and Thagubothu Ramesh have delivered neat performance in the movie Baadshah.

Cinematography is the main highlight in the technical front. Four cinematographer like I Andrew, K V Guhan, Jayanan Vincent and R D Rajasekhar handled the camera work for Baadshah, which is a visual treat. They have done brilliant work in capturing exotic locations in Italy, Switzerland and Bangkok. Their work is rich and colourful.

S Thaman's music is another attraction in the technical departments. All his compositions have already impressed the music lovers. Their picturisation and choreography are brilliant. Especially, the choreography of the songs like Sairo Sairo and Rangoli is simply amazing. His background score another big asset to the film.

Sreenu Vaitla, Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat have penned some of the best punch dialogues and funny onelines, which are hilarious. Besides this, the action scene have been well choreographed and they are also one of the main highlights of Baadshah. MR Varma's editing is also commendable. His work could have been excellent, if he had chopped of few scenes in the first half.

Overall, Baadshah is a good masala entertainer, which has excellent performance by lead actors and sound production values. The movie impress all kinds of audience. It is a treat for NTR fans. Don't miss to watch the Yong tiger in action.
