After the 2019 release of Ghost Stories, Karan Johar went on to turn out a full-fledged family entertainment movie with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. The film's soundtracks and background music were composed by Pritam, and the dialogue, screenplay, and script were written by Shita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani (aka RARKPK's) story revolves around Rocky Randhawa, a boisterous and flashy Punjabi man, and Rani Chatterjee, a thoughtful Bengali journalist. A couple chooses to move into one another's families for three months before getting married after experiencing family-related objections to their love. The end of this ultimate entertainment is whether or not the family accepts Rocky and Rani's original characters after three months of fun, emotions, and character examination, or whether something unexpected completely turns around.

When couples feel worried about upsetting their families, they arrange to spend a specific span of time in their partner's home in order to impress and turn the families back to their relationship. This was a key idea in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, yet the same story has already been told numerous times in Indian cinema, each time in a distinct format. As an example, Poovellam Kettupar, Jodi, and Bommarillu were the exact same story and had already been bommed and won the hearts of the audience. On July 28, 2023, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will be released in theatres. After waiting for a long time, this romantic comedy film was released on September 22, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video. Its OTT selling price was 80 crores, this movie was presented after two months on the OTT platform. 

The music from Karan Johar's films will enthral the audience and fans in a lovely way and become popular tunes for a while. Similar to how the first song, "Tum Kya Mile," debuted on the official music label "Saregama Music" on June 28, 2023, the songs quickly gained a big fanbase. The vocals of Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal for Pritam's music sparked a lot of curiosity, and Vaibhavi Merchant's choreography was exceptional.

The official trailer for the movie was launched on July 4th, 2023, and the teaser for the movie came out on June 20th on the Dharma Productions YouTube page.
