Alia Bhatt is the daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, a film actress and director. She has one sister Shaheen Bhatt, a sister Pooja Bhatt, and a brother Rahul Bhatt. Actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri are her cousins and producer Mukesh Bhatt is her uncle. Alia completed high school at Jamnabai Narsee School IB in May 2011. Bhatt has acted as a child artist in the film Sangharsh (1999), starring Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta. She played the younger Zinta in the film.
