Jiah Khan, a British-born actress, made her sizzling Bollywood debut with the controversial movie Nishabd, opposite Amitabh Bachchan. Nonetheless, Khan received a mostly positive reception for her performance, with critics noting her confidence, attitude and sex appeal. After this, she went on to act in a few big budget movies like Housefull and Ghajini.
But, as per reports, her good times did not last long as she eventually plunged into depression, over her sinking career in Bollywood. Adding salt to injuries, Jiah was supposedly very upset over her troubled relationship with boyfriend Suraj Pancholi, who reportedly was involved with some other woman. In one word, Jiah was possibly going through the worst phase of her life, and finally took up the decision to kill herself.

Jia's Real Name
Jiah's real name is Nafisa Khan. "Yes, I had changed my name to Jiah when I was 16. But now I want to be myself, so I am back to my real name. I was always Nafisa Khan. My family and friends call me Nafisa and I am used to it," Jiah once said.
She was inspired to enter Bollywood after watching Ram Gopal Verma's former protege Urmila Matondkar's movie Rangeela at the age of six.
