Krrish 3 Takes Toll On Satya 2 1st Day Collection At Box Office

Ram Gopal Varma's recent releases like Psycho and Telugu versions of Department, Bhoot Returns and The Attacks of 26/11 had received dull opening at the Andhra Pradesh Box Office. With the promo of his latest film Satya 2 getting good response in the state, many in Tollywood had thought that it would start with a bang at the ticket counters. But this film has proved to be no different from his old releases.

Satya 2 has a lackluster response at the AP Box Office on its opening day. The movie has registered 20% to 30% occupancy in single screens across the state in the morning and matinee shows on Friday. Whereas, the movie has very poor amount of footfalls in the multiplexes. Some screens have reported as low as 5% occupancy. Trade experts say that the movie is expected to show improvements in the evening and night shows.

Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3, which has released with two versions like Hindi and Telugu last week, has become the first choice for many film goers in the state in the second week too. Besides this, Hollywood movie Thor: The Dark World, which released today, has also got a brilliant start in the state. Both Krrish 3 and Thor 2 have taken a toll on the collection of Satya 2 at the AP Box Office. The business of the film has also been partially affected by new Telugu releases like Kaali Charan, Chandi and Nenem Chinna Pillana.

Satya 2 is getting positive response from the Telugu audience, while a very few Hindi audience talk about it on Twitter. Considering the response, the movie is likely to pick up the speed over the weekend. Continue to slide to read what Telugu audience has to say about the film.
