Personal life and Education

Mahendra was developed in Mumbai. She was almost married to cricket player Gary Sobers and is well-known for her romance with renowned Bollywood actor Rajesh Khanna. She was found by renowned writer Kafi Azmi. She's a Bihar native from Patna. Gajendra Chaurasia was her former husband, and the couple had two children. However, a bitter divorce followed the union.

Career

Mahendru was a well-known actress throughout the 1960s and 1970s who was discovered by poet and writer Kaifi Azmi. She switched to bit parts after failing to break through as a female lead. She portrayed Rajdeep Monthra's mother in the Zee TV series Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah.
