Cyrus Sahukar is an Indian Zoroastrian video jockey who appears on MTV India. He generally appears on comical and satirical programmes like MTV Bakra, Piddhu the Great and Semi Girebal. Semi Girebaal even had higher raitings than the original show it spoofed. He is known for his sharp and witty comments. He played the role of a struggling radio-jockey in the famous 2006 Bollywood film Rang De Basanti. Early Life and Career As a child, he studied in St. Columba's School, Delhi. He is six feet and 3 inches. His father is in the army. He joined Barry John's theatre group when he was 15 and acted in quite a few productions. They include adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express, Haroun and the Sea of Stories and Graffiti - Postcards from School. He used to host Radio Rampage at TGIF (Thank God it's Friday) at Delhi. Bizarre is the word to describe his music tastes. His favourite music artists are Pink Floyd, Simon & Garfunkel, Leonard Cohen, Kishore Kumar and RD Burman. Presently, he hosts 'Rendezvous with Semi Girebaal' on mtv india, a spoof of the talk show 'Rendezvous with Simi Garewal'. He is also hosting the hit comedy show on Pogo (TV channel) called "Hole in the Wall". Recently he acted in MTV spoof called "Bechare Zameen Par" which was a take on the hit film "Taare Zameen Par" and also hosts MTV Kickass Mornings where he plays many characters. He had a small role in Om Jai Jagdish(2002).
