Erik Johnson Biography

Erik Johnson is an Indian music director, programmer, arranger and sound engineer from Kerala. He is active in music from 2013, and has done a number of albums.

In 2015, Erik did a music video for actor Mammootty's Birthday, also penned and sung by him, which made a sensation in online media & Television. Erik composed a music video for actor Mohanlal’s Birthday in 2016 which also became very popular. In 2017, Erik received an award from the Kerala Grovernment for composing a song for Government project “POLIV”.

Erik Started his film career in 2018, he started with Kannada film industry as a background scorer for film EEDIGA BANDHA SUDDHI directed by S R PATEL.

He has also worked in the upcoming Malayalam Film “VIPLAVOM JAYIKKANULLATHANU”. Erik did the mixing for all the songs in VIPLAVOM. The movie directed by Nishad Hassan runs for 2 hours, and was shot on a single camera without any cuts and therefore awarded the Guinness World Record.

Erik is working as a music composer in upcoming Malayalam Film “GRAMODAYAM”. There are 2 songs composed by Erik, in which one song is sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan. He is also working as a programmer for upcoming Malayalam film SAVARI GIRIGIRI.

Erik Johnson was born in Pathanamthitta to P M Johnson and Lizy Johnson. He completed his graduation in BCA from Garden City College Bangalore and did masters in Information Technology from Jain University. He worked for a background verification company in Bangalore for one year, from then he moved to Chennai for his music career in the year 2013.
