Biography

Kedarh grew up with the determination to do something different in the field of art. His first step was Inter-collegiate one act play competitions. Even here he wanted to do something different & then came a variety of One Act Plays..                                            For his plays Kedarh got number of trophies for writing, direction & sometimes for acting as well. Then Kedarh entered the field of PROFASSIONAL PLAYS. His first play was ‘BOMB-E-MERI JAAN’ which didn’t do well as expected but that didn’t deter Kedarh from trying harder. He directed series of play which were commercially successful and thus Kedarh become a trendsetter by making comedy plays with pinch of salt. His plays include ‘AAMCHYA SARKHE AAMHICH’, ‘MANOMANI’, ‘SHRIMANTA DAMODARPANT’, ‘TU TU MI MI’, ‘VIJAY DINANATH CHAVHAN’, ‘AATA HOUNACH JAAU DYA’, ‘SAHI RE SAHI’, ‘LOCHYA ZALA RE’, ‘GOPALA RE GOPALA’. The next step was TELEVISION SERIALS. Even here Kedarh Shinde wanted to do something different. Serials like ‘HOUSE FULL’, ‘HASA CHAKATFU’, ‘SHRIYUT GANGADHAR TIPRE’, ‘JAGAWEGALI’, ‘SAAHEB BIWI AI MEE’, ‘GHADLAY BIGHADLAY’ on the prestigious channel called ZEE MARATHI won the hearts of many & thus Kedarh become a household name as a brilliant director & writer!. His serials were different yet they touched the heart of the common man. Now, came the next step. FILMS. It’s not necessary to mention that even here Kedarh intended to do something different. He rocked the Marathi film industry with his debut film itself which was called ‘AGA BAAI…AARECHYA!’ His unbelievable creativity, technical excellence, unique subjects & high production value adorned his first film as well as all others that followed. Aga baai... was like a revolution for the Marathi film industry. Kedarh shot an item song which had never been done before. This item song was choreographed by FARAH KHAN who is a famous choreographer & director & has worked with the like of Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Amitabh Bachhan etc. The item song was performed by SONALI BENDRE a veteran actress of her times. Both are worked in a Marathi film only with Kedarh. & it’s needless to say that ‘Aga Baai… Aarechya!’ was a huge hit! Then followed his major hits like ‘JATRA’, ‘YANDA KARTAVYA AAHE!’, ‘MAJHA NAVRA TUJHI BAAYKO’, ‘HYANCHA KAHI NEM NAHI!’, ‘BAKULA NAMDEV GHOTALE’, ‘GALGALE NIGHALE!’ It was Kedarh who got the privilege of being the first director to shoot a Marathi film in London called ‘MUKKAM POST LONDON’. Right now Kedarh is on the verge of releasing his 9th Marathi film ‘IRADA PAKKA’. And His First Hindi Film ‘TOH BAAT PAKKI!’ Produced by Tips Films. Staring Tabu, Sharman Joshi, Vatsal Sheth, Aayub Khan, Yuvika, Sharad Suxena. Kedarh Shinde has always successfully lived up to the expectations of his ever-increasing audience. Along with innumerable awards he has earned a lot of love from his fans. It is for these people that he wants to work harder & continue to set up higher standards through his direction, writing & as always by doing something different !
