Laxman Utekar was born in Maharashtra, India, and grew up with a deep interest in cinema, visuals, and storytelling. From a young age, he was fascinated by cameras and began learning the technical aspects of filmmaking. His passion for cinematography gradually evolved into a desire to direct films. Career Beginnings Laxman started his career in the film industry as a cameraman and cinematographer , working on several Bollywood and regional films. His early years were spent understanding lighting, framing, and visual aesthetics, which later became the strongest elements of his directorial style. As a cinematographer, he contributed to popular projects such as: 204: Rose Villa Taryanche Bait Blue Oranges Hindi films and ad projects that helped him build a strong technical foundation. Directorial Career Laxman Utekar made his directorial debut with the Marathi film Tapaal (2014) . His sensitive storytelling and realistic approach earned him appreciation. He then directed the Marathi movie Lalbaugchi Rani (2016) , further proving his ability to blend emotion with strong visuals.
