Madala Ravi Biography

Madala Ravi is a film actor, Producer, Doctor (Gastroenterologist) and Social Activist. He was born on 28th July in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh to Revolutionary film maker Madala Ranga Rao and Madala Padmavathi. Madala Ranga Rao is a Legendary revolutionary film maker known for his very popular progressive sensational films. Madala Ravi started his film career as a child artist in a couple of films, among which his role in Erra Mallelu became very popular.

Madala Ravi's song Nampally Station Kaada from the film Erra Mallelu was an all time hit song for many decades and has fetched singer SP Sailaja and Madala Ravi many State Awards. Madala Ravi did his schooling in Chennai from Kesari Higher secondary school Mylapore where many other prominent film personalities also got educated.

Madala Ravi did his MD in general medicine and DM in gastroenterology in Russia at the Rostov state medical university. He again entered film industry in 2004 to continue his film career in his father's foot steps of producing and acting in Telugu films.

After returning back to India, in 2004 his first film was Nenu Saitham as a producer and also acted in the lead role, Nenu Saitham deals with the struggle and fight of a common man against the vested interests, corrupt politicians and bureaucrats and their atrocities and common man's revolt against the system. He also acted in
many films like Maa ilavelupu, Veera Gaadha, Broker-2, Panchamukhi, Aaj Ka inquilaab, Nag laxmi, Swarajyam, Aloukika and many more in the lead role.

Madala ravi plays an important role in Prajanatyamandali, which is a massive cultural front and organisation of CPI and CPIM. As a social activist he strongly believes and propagates that film is most powerful media to sensitize and awaken the people against social atrocities. He participated and headed many agitations organised by world youth federation, all India youth federation and young communist league of Russia and Europe. He also participated in most of the agitations organised and leaded by CPI and CPIM in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Madala Ravi is also in the advisory board of some progressive channels.

As a doctor he had served lakhs of people freely and conducted many health camps in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for which he also received many awards. He also participated in many social welfare aspects organised by Many progressive organisations and NGOs. He continues his struggle to unite the Communist parties in India. As a film actor, producer and social activist he is continuing his journey.
