Moksha Sengupta , professionally known as Mokksha , is an Indian actress, model, and trained classical dancer who has steadily built a successful career across Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali cinema. Born as Pritha Sengupta in Barrackpore, West Bengal, she began her professional journey outside the film industry before pursuing her passion for acting. With her elegant screen presence, expressive performances, and strong dance background, Moksha has emerged as one of the promising young actresses in South Indian cinema. Her popularity grew significantly after appearing in several Telugu and Malayalam films, while her role in Gatta Kusthi 2 brought her widespread recognition among Tamil audiences. Early Life and Education Moksha Sengupta was born and brought up in Barrackpore, West Bengal, where she completed her schooling and later earned a degree in Psychology. Before entering the entertainment industry, she worked as a school teacher while simultaneously training students in classical dance. Passionate about performing arts from a young age, she received professional training in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Odissi, participating in numerous cultural events and stage performances. Her strong foundation in dance, combined with her interest in modelling, eventually inspired her to pursue a full-time career in films.
