Nayana Surya Biography

Nayana Surya is a famous film director who works in the Mollywood film industry. She served as the co-director for his first few films. She collaborated with Dr. Biju and Kamal to co-direct the 2012 movies Akashathan Raar and Utopiaile Rajavu. She earned her movie breakthrough in the film Crossroad, for which she received praise from critics for its plot line.

She launched her career as an independent director in 2017 with the movie "Crossroad." In the movie Crossroads, ten different women's lives are depicted through ten differentiated films by ten separate filmmakers. The movie "Pakshishana Manam," directed by Nayana Crossroads, portrays the tale of a wildlife photojournalist who ventures into the jungle in quest of endangered bird species.

She was also a social media influencer and activist who frequently used the platform to lead demonstrations against the mining of black sand in Chavara. In 2019, on February 23, her birthday, she passed away. In February 2019, Thiruvananthapuram police discovered Nayana dead in the bathtub of a rented home. On January 2, almost four years after the filmmaker's end, the inquiry into her mysterious death was reopened.
