Simar Bhatia

Simar Bhatia is an emerging Indian actress who is set to make her Bollywood debut in the war drama Ikkis (2026). She is the daughter of Alka Bhatia, sister of superstar Akshay Kumar, and businessman Vaibhav Kapoor. Though she comes from a well-known film family, Simar has taken a focused and disciplined route toward acting, building her foundation through education and training before stepping into mainstream cinema.

Simar completed her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School and Oberoi International School in Mumbai, after which she pursued higher education in the United States. During her time abroad, she developed a strong interest in performance arts and underwent method acting training to refine her craft. Before her big-screen debut, she worked in short films, gradually gaining attention for her screen presence and confidence.

She will be seen opposite Agastya Nanda in Ikkis, a Sriram Raghavan–directed war film based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Arun Khetarpal. In the film, Simar plays Kiran, the love interest of the protagonist. Set for a January 2026 release, Ikkis marks a significant milestone in her acting career.

Simar has received strong support and encouragement from her uncle Akshay Kumar, who has openly expressed pride in her entry into the film industry. With a solid educational background, formal acting training, and a promising debut, Simar Bhatia is poised to make her mark as one of Bollywood’s new-generation actors.
