Biography

Tanushree Chatterjee is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Bhojpuri-language films. She is known for her roles in films like Jaan Tere Naam, Jiddi Ashiqe, Tere Ishq Me Ho Gaya Main Ishqbaaz, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, Le Aaaib Dulhaniya Pakistan Se, Teri Meri Aashiqui, Awara Balam, Jawani Ki Rail Kahi Choot Na Jaye, Trishul, Shadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar, Dharam Ke Saudagar, and Jwala. Career Chatterjee made her debut in Bhojpuri cinema with the film Bhai Jee in 2012. The film was a success and helped launch Chatterjee's career. She has since starred in several other successful Bhojpuri films, including Jaan Tere Naam, Jiddi Ashiqe, Tere Ishq Me Ho Gaya Main Ishqbaaz, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, Le Aaaib Dulhaniya Pakistan Se, Teri Meri Aashiqui, Awara Balam, Jawani Ki Rail Kahi Choot Na Jaye, Trishul, Shadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar, Dharam Ke Saudagar, Jwala, and many more Chatterjee has also worked in other languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. She has also been nominated for several other awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Bhojpuri. In 2018, Chatterjee made headlines when she accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the film "Horn Ok Please". Patekar denied the allegations and filed a defamation case against Chatterjee, and the case is still ongoing.
