Biography

Tejashree is a popular Indian film actress who appears in Kollywood movies. She is considered as one of the leading stars in the industry. Tejashree is originally a kathak dancer, trained in kathak by her father Master Jaikumar Khele, a disciple of Pandit Gopi Krishna Maharaj. After a few modelling assignments, she broke into the Southern Film Industry. She has danced in many item numbers. She has a very good command in Tamil language. Being a Maharashtrian from Mumbai, she has appeared on many ads. Some of her biggest box office hits include Madhurey (2003), Ottran (2003), Aarya (2007), etc. Tejashree's father Jaykumar Khele is running a kathak dance school, while her mom Shaila is a housewife, who was a teacher and later became the principal of a school. She was a singer too. Tejashree's hobbies are listening to music, watching movies, playing the violin, learning new languages, etc. Tejashree was born and brought up in Nasik. She completed her education and graduated in Kathak Visharath in 1995 under her father, who is himself very well known. Tejashree has appeared in many big-budget films, with overall success, she has played many important roles in good subjects. Tejashree has appeared in many Telugu and Kannada films as well as in Gujarati and Marathi.
