Lenin Story
Lenin is an upcoming Telugu rural action drama directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, best known for Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha. The film stars Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead roles, alongside Pramod, Ramesh Indra, Shivaji, Sunil, Brahmaji, Getup Srinu, Sudarshan, Easwari Rao, and many others in pivotal roles. The film features music composed by Thaman S, cinematography by Leon Britto, and editing by Navin Nooli. The movie is jointly produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni and S. Naga Vamsi under the banners of Manam Enterprises and Sithara Entertainments.
Initially, actress Sreeleela was signed as the female lead, but she was later replaced by Bhagyasri Borse.
Story Plot
Set against the rugged backdrop of Rayalaseema, Lenin revolves around a fearless young man who challenges deep-rooted societal norms and violent traditions. The story is said to be centered on the sensitive issue of honour killings, blending intense action, emotional family drama, romance, and political conflict. As he takes on powerful forces determined to preserve the old order, the protagonist embarks on a courageous journey to protect love, justice, and humanity, making Lenin a socially relevant commercial entertainer.
Release Date
Lenin is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on July 10, 2026. The film marks Akhil Akkineni's first collaboration with director Murali Kishor Abburu and promises to present the actor in a rugged, mass-action avatar unlike any of his previous roles.
