Amruta Khanvilkar is an Indian film actress who has appeared in Hindi and Marathi films. Amruta was born in Pune to Raju and Gauri Khanvilkar in a middle class family. She also has a younger sister named Aditi. She was selected in Zee Cine Star Ki Khoj but lost in the final round, and subsequently began a career in Marathi films. She has starred in films such as Golmaal (Marathi film) and Saade Maade Teen. She has also worked in several Hindi films such as Mumbai Salsa, HatTrick and Contract. She has starred in Ram Gopal Verma's Hindi film Phoonkh. She has also played Ganga in Kasamh Se. She was also a part of the Marathi dance-based reality show, Ekapeksha Ek. But she lost in the final round. She also hosted the wonderful program, Comedy Express on ETV.
