Anjum Sharma Biography

Anjum Sharma is an accomplished Indian actor recognized for his dynamic roles in film, television, and theatre. Born on October 30 in Allahabad, he was deeply inspired by legendary actors like Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan during his formative years. Sharma completed his education in Performing Arts from Mumbai University, which laid the foundation for his acting career.


Sharma made his acting debut with the Oscar-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire" in 2008, playing a minor role. His breakthrough came with notable performances in films like "Wazir" (2016), "David" (2013), and "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai" (2010). In 2018, he gained widespread acclaim for his role as Sharad Shukla in the Amazon Prime series "Mirzapur," and became a key character in its second season in 2020.


Besides films and web series, Sharma has made significant contributions to theatre, starring in productions such as "Maa in Transit" and "Sir Sir Sarla" by Makarand Deshpande. He is married to Nilima Sharma, sister of Bollywood actor Varun Sharma, and the couple resides in Mumbai.
