Bhavatharani , daughter of film composer Ilaiyaraaja, is an Indian singer and music director. She is a music director herself and has composed music for Mitr, My Friend, directed by Revati starring Shobhana. She made her debut in Telugu films with Avunaa. She has also sung many songs including Mayil pola ponnu onu for the movie Bharathi, the music director being her father Ilaiyaraja himself. She bagged the National Award for the same in the year 2000. She has also composed music for 'Phir Milenge' directed by Revathi again starring Shilpa Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan and Salman Khan. Bhavatharani made her debut as a singer in Raasaiya. The song was a super hit. From then onwards, she sings at least one song in every album composed by her dad and brothers. She had also lent her voice in songs composed by Deva & Sirpy. She is married to an advertising executive R. Sabariraj, son of S.N. Ramachandran, a former journalist who went into publishing and started Kannan Advertising.
