Gaurav Kapur is an Indian television presenter, actor, and entrepreneur, widely recognized for his work in sports broadcasting, particularly the Indian Premier League (IPL), and for his popular digital talk show, Breakfast with Champions. He has also made a mark in films, radio, and digital media, while establishing ventures in the creative and sports industries.
Gaurav Kapur was born on April 11, 1981, in New Delhi. He attended Mount St. Mary's School and later graduated from Sri Venkateswara College.
Kapur began his professional journey at the age of 17 as a radio jockey on FM radio, before gaining popularity as a VJ on Channel [V], where he worked for six years. He made his acting debut in the 2003 film Darna Mana Hai, and went on to appear in other films including Sssshhh..., A Wednesday, and Bad Luck Govind.
He is best known for hosting the IPL’s pre-match show Extraaa Innings T20 from 2008 to 2017 and later joined Cricbuzz Live as a sports anchor. Beyond broadcasting, Kapur is an entrepreneur, co-founding Komune Arts and establishing Oaktree Creative Solutions, a sports media venture.
Gaurav was previously married to actress and model Kirat Bhattal from 2014 until their divorce in 2021. As of late 2025/early 2026, he is in a relationship with actress Kritika Kamra, whom he married on March 11, 2026.
An avid sports enthusiast, Kapur frequently travels to major sporting events and recently served as an ambassador for FanToPark, reflecting his deep involvement in sports media and fandom.
