Kavya Shaiva is a rising Indian actress and television personality who has made a mark in the Kannada entertainment industry with her versatile performances and expressive screen presence. Born on 6 April 1999 in Krishnarajapet (K.R. Pete), Karnataka, she completed her schooling at Teresian Convent Girls High School, Mysore, and went on to graduate from JSS Polytechnic for Women, Mysore. Instead of taking up a stable government job she was once offered, Kavya chose to pursue her passion for acting, a decision that took her from television sets into the world of cinema.  Kavya began her on-screen career with the Kannada television serial Bhumithayane, playing the role of Sanvi, which laid the foundation for her acting journey. Her breakthrough came with the Colors Kannada hit Kendasampige, where she portrayed Sumana, a character loved by audiences for her simplicity and emotional depth. The show ran successfully for over 600 episodes, cementing Kavya’s place as a familiar face in Kannada households.  After establishing herself on television, Kavya transitioned to films and made her Kannada film debut in 2025 with Kothalavadi, a drama directed by Sriraj and starring opposite Pruthvi Ambaar. The film explored social themes rooted in rural Karnataka, and Kavya’s performance was appreciated as a confident move from small screen to silver screen.
