Krishna Kumari is a noted Telugu actress of the 1960s and 1980s. She was a leading actress and a contemporary of Savitri. Early life Krishna Kumari was born in a Telugu Brahmin family at Naihati, West Bengal to Venkoji Rao and Sachi Devi. Her family hails from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. Her sister, Sowkar Janaki was also a leading actress in Telugu and Tamil cinema. Career Krishna Kumari acted in 150 Telugu films, and about 30 Tamil and Kannada films. Her repertoire won her fans across Indian states and the President's Award. Personal life She was married to Ajay Mohan Khaitan and they have a daughter, Dipika. She lived in Bengaluru with her daughter, son-in-law, Vikram and grandson, Pavan. Death Krishnakumari died at the age of 85 on Jan 24th, 2018.
