Biography

Kriti Sanon is an Indian film actress who appears predominantly in Hindi and Telugu films. She is a famous model and has received two Filmfare awards. She has began her acting acreer in South Indian film industry, but later shifted to Bollywood. Personal Life Kriti Sanon was born to to Rahul Sanon, a Chartered Accountant, and Geeta Sanon, an Associate Professor at Delhi University. She has one sibling, Nupur. Kriti did her schooling from Delhi Public School, R.K Puram and completed Bachelor of Technology in Electronics, from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. Career Life Before entering into the showbiz, she worked as a model and had appeared in various television commercials, endorsing brands like Close Up, Vivel, Amul, Samsung and Himalaya. She modeled for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2010, held in Mumbai. In 2012, she appeared in Chennai International Fashion week and India International Jewelry week. Sanon has also modeled for designers like Ritu Beri, Suneet Varma and Niki Mahajan. After a successful modeling career, Sanon made her acting debut in Sukumar's psychological thriller film 1: Nenokkadine, a Telugu film opposite actor Mahesh Babu. The film was released in 2014 and declared as a flop at the box office. Later, in 2014 she made her film debut in Bollywood with Heropanti. It was a romantic-action drama directed by Sabbir Karon and featured Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The film was a commercal hit and the actress gained attention from audiences and critics alike. In 2015, the actor has won her first Filmfare awards for best female debut. Her next film was Dilwale opposite, Varun Dhawan , also co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The film was released in 2015 and recieved negative reviews from audiences.   In 2017, she acted in two films such as Raabta and Bareilly Ki Barfi. Mimi was one of the best movies in her career life. The film was released in 2021 and well-received at the box office. Directed by Rajesh Bhatia, Laxman Utekar, Mimi depicted the story of a surrogate mother. Kriti appeared in a titular role in this film . For her stellar performance in this film, Kriti won her second Filmfare award for best actress in 2021. Her another notable performances list includes  Bhediya, Adipurush and  Ganapath Part 1 .
