Lauren Gottlieb is the US winner of So You Think You Can Dance.
She appeared as a top 20 finalist on the third season of Fox network’s reality television series So You Think You Can Dance.
Her nicknames are Misha, GottaLuver, and L*Boogz, and she entered the world of dancing at the age of seven. She says that she has danced at a studio her whole life, and that she trained in various styles. Among these are hip-hop, tap dancing, lyrical, jazz, and ballet.
Lauren calls her techniques and dance style a mix of jazz funk, hip-hop, and contemporary dance. She says that her most memorable dancing experience was winning a national title several years earlier.
Aside from dancing, she also enjoys hobbies such as snowboarding and wakeboarding. She cites her boyfriend Brian Tanaka as her favorite professional dancer, though she has yet to perform in a musical production or public event as a dancer herself. Likewise, no one else in her family dances professionally.
Lauren hopes that from her stint on the show, she’ll be able to find herself and her own style of dancing, as well as having the opportunity to teach others. She hopes to be part of a major, international dance tour within the next ten years, as well as being able to star in her own feature film.
