Laxman Shivashankar is an Indian film actor, screenwriter and lyricist who works primarily in Kannada cinema. He made his acting debut in 2016, starring in A Day in the City . He is the son of a popular Kannada director CV Shivashankar. Early life Laxman actively participate in dramas and other cultural activities. He worked in animation and video post-production industry for quite some time. He can proudly say that he was one among the few 3D animators in Bangalore in those times. He would always like to be behind the cameras. He has directed several short films and acted in television serials and feature films. The versatile artiste has even penned a song for a Kannada movie. Career as an actor Laxman became an integral part of a movie 'A Day in the City' where he plays the lead role of an IAS officer who turns messiah in times of crisis. Directed by his own brother Venkat, Laxman felt comfortable in shouldering the responsibility of leading the team. The best way to acknowledge his talent is to watch his performance on the screen. A Day in the City got released in 2015 Feb, with good review. Screened at Bengaluru International film Festival 2016. Upcoming Movies Laxman Shivashankar's upcoming movies are Akalanka and Kempirve.
