Miya George is an actress, model, and television artist who predominantly works in Malayalam along with Tamil and Telugu Films. She came to the industry by playing supporting roles in Television Serials. In 2010, she made her first debut in Malayalam Cinema with the film 'Oru Small Family' directed by Rajasenan. Since then she acted in the movies such as Doctor Love, Ee Adutha Kaalathu, Chettayees, Memories, Mr.Fraud, Anarkali, and many more. Personal Life   Miya was born as Gimi George to George Joseph and Mini George in Maharashtra in 1992. Her family moved to Kerala when she was 4 years old. Miya has one sibling, Gini who is married and settled in Banglore. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree and continued to study to gain a master’s degree in English. Actress Miya George tied the knot with businessman Ashwin Philip on September 12, 2020. The couple has one child, named Luca Joseph Philip. Career life Miya came to the film industry in 2010. She began her acting career by playing supporting roles in TV serials. The actress made her first debut in Malayalam Industry with the film 'Oru Small Family' directed by Rajasenan in 2010. Later she acted in films such as Doctor Love and Ee Adutha Kaalathu. The actress played a minor role in both movies, but she got noticed among audiences through her performances. In 2012, Miya appeared on screen in the lead roles in the films like Chettayees and Navagatharkku Swagatham. Other than acting, the actress is also a prominent face in modeling, she won Kerala Miss Fitness Award in the same year. Since then she acted in several films such as Red wine, Memories, Vishudhan, Salaam Kashmir, Ettekaal Second, Mr. Fraud, and Cousins.  Her stellar performances in the films like Memories, Vishudhan, and Mr. Fraud have gained critical appreciation from the audience. After the commercial success of these movies, the actress moved to Tamil Film Industry. The actress made her first debut in Tamil with the romantic drama Amara Kaaviyam, released in 2014. She plays a lead role in the film along with Actor Arya's brother Sathya. The film received negative and positive reviews and was later remade in Bengali in 2020. In 2015, she has bagged the TNSFA award and Behindwoods Gold Medal Award for Tamil Best Actress for Amara Kaaviyam. In the same year, she acted in the film 'Anarkali'. The actress has received numerous nominations for her outstanding performances in this movie. Later, in 2016 Miya plays a lead role in the film 'Pavada' along with Prithviraj. Like a comedy-drama, the film became a commercial success and the biggest box office hit film in Malayalam. In 2017, the actress made her debut in Telugu Cinema with the film Ungarala Rambabu. After then, Miya plays a lead role in average successful films like Hello Namasthea, Valleem Thetti Pulleem Thetti, Rum. In 2019, she appeared in an action thriller film, Brother's days directed by Kalabhavan Shajohn. She plays female lead roles in the film along with Aishwarya Lekshmi, Madonna Sebastian, and Prayaga Martin. By acting in a wide range of roles in films, Miya became prominent among audiences. She has shared screen space with many superstars in Malayalam Cinema. She is also best known for the films like Vishudhan, Memories, Anarkali, Mr.Fraud, Pavada, and The Great Father. Coming to Miya's professional front, she was last seen in Guardian and was released on OTT in 2021. After that, she played a significant role in Vikram's Starrer Cobra. The film was a box-office bomb and received negative reviews from critics.
