Shraddha Kapoor is the youngest of the two children born to veteran actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi. She is also the niece of the famous actress Padmini Kolhapure who was her aunt (mother's sister).
She did her schooling in Jamnabai Narsee School, Juhu and completed her high school in Boston.
Career Life
Shraddha Kapoor made her debut in Bollywood with the multi-starrer film 'Teen Patti' starring veteran star Amitabh Bachchan in 2010. After the failure of her debut film, she appeared in the lead role in Mohit Suri's romantic drama Aashiqui 2. The film is also considered a milestone in her career. For her astonishing performance in this film, the actress received her first Filmfare nomination in 2013.
In 2014, she starred in a film titled Ek Villain with Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh. The film marked her second collaboration with director Mohit Suri. In the same year, she appeared in the lead role in Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider. Featuring Shahid Kapoor, Tabu and Kay Kay Menon in the lead roles the film was a huge hit at the box office.
After the commercial success of her film 'Baaghi', the actress appeared in another romantic drama ' OK Jaanu'. The film was an official remake of the Tamil film 'Ok Kadhal Kanmani'. Some of her other notable films include 'Half Girl Friend', 'Saahoa', 'Chhichhore' and 'Baaghi 3'.
Apart from being an actor, Shraddha made her debut as a playback singer with the song `Galliyan for the movie 'Ek Villain' in 2014.
