Harika Narayan is a playback singer and music director in the Indian Film Industry who predominantly works in Telugu and Tamil films. She earned her singing debut in the Telugu movie "SuryaKantham" in the year 2019 with the track "Friday night baby," and she made her breakthrough in Tamil with the song "What the Uff" in the year 2022. She is mainly remembered for lending her voice to the movies RRR and Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya. She received a lot of praise and was renowned for her soothing vocal.
Personal Life
Harika was born on October 8, 1995, in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, to Mr. K. V. Lakshmi Narayana and Mrs. K. V. Nagalakshmi. Her father is an ex employe of the Indian Air Force. Yashwanth, her younger brother, is currently pursuing a degree chartered accountant. Yashwanth is receiving full instruction in western classical guitar because he is so enthusiastic about music. Because her dad had been an Air Force officer at the time, she attended a variety of institutions for her education. She later attended the public school in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad. She subsequently enrolled in Sri Chaitanya Junior College to finish her advanced coursework. After that, Harika obtained her mechanical engineering degree with honours from Anurag University.
Early and Career Life
Harika Narayan has learned music with a lot of well singers from her young age. Since the second standard, she has credited her Mother K. V. Naga Lakshmi as her musical mentor. Later, she had to relocate to Hyderabad, where she received coaching from her aunt BVNL. Padmavati. She began her studies with Sri D. V. Mohana Krishna in 2011 and remained his pupil for ten long years. Even after finished a diploma in music under his direction and won other certificates.
She has always been interested in music and earned a diploma in Carnatic Vocal Classical because of this. She continued on and enrolled in Padmavati University's Post Graduate programme in Carnatic Vocal and M.A. in Music in Tirupathi, India. She was chosen to sing in the chorus of Swarabhishekam while still enrolled in her second year of Btech. She then attended the Paadutha Theeyaga auditions and was also qualified. But because she was already competing in Swarabishekam, she was unable to participate in the Paadutha Theeyaga competition.
With the "Friday night baby" single from the film "Suryakantham," Harika launched her success as a singer. Later, she performed the opening theme for Miss India, the theme song for Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, the opening track for Black Rose, the melody for Acharya, the song for Laahe Laahe, and the song for Sarkaru Vaari Paata. She debuted the track "What the Uff" from her Tamil album, in which Nivetha Pethuraj danced and Think Originals handled the song's label.
