Biography

Joseph Manu James was an Indian director who primarily worked in the Malayalam film industry. He made his directorial debut in 2022 with Nancy Rani. Before becoming a director, he worked as an assistant director in Malayalam, Kannada, Bollywood, and Hollywood films.  Personal Life Manu was born to James and Cecily James in Kottayam, Kerala. He has two siblings one sister, Minna James, and one brother, Philips James. Both are settled in the United States. Manu was married to Naina and resides with their parents in his hometown. Career Life He stepped into the film industry as a child artist in the film “I am curious”. Directed by Sabu James, the film was released in 2004. Later, he worked as an assistant director in the industries like Malayalam, Kannada, Bollywood, and Hollywood.  Manu made his directorial debut in 2022 with 'Nancy Rani'. Like a women-centric movie, the film featured actors Ahaana Krishna and Arjun Ashokan in lead roles. Death As per the reports, he died at the age of 31 at Rajagiri Hospital, near Aluva, where he was undergoing treatment for hepatitis. He died a few days before the release of his directorial film 'Nancy Rani'.
