Biography

Flora Saini,  aka Asha Saini , is an accomplished Indian actress and model known for her extensive work in Telugu and Hindi cinema, along with notable appearances in Kannada and Tamil films. With a career spanning over two decades since her debut in Prema Kosam (1999), she has graced more than 80 projects and shared the screen with prominent stars like Venkatesh, Balakrishna, Prabhu, and Jagapati Babu. Early Life & Beginnings Born in Chandigarh to an army officer, Flora grew up moving across cities including Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir) and Delhi, where she attended Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan. She later relocated to Kolkata, entered the Miss Kolkata beauty pageant, and began her modeling journey. Film Career Flora made her acting debut in the Telugu film Prema Kosam (1999). Initially known as Asha Saini, and later as Mayuri based on astrological advice, she eventually reverted to her original name. She played notable supporting roles in Telugu hits like Nuvvu Naaku Nachav (2001) and Narasimha Naidu (2002), earning the colloquial tag "Lux Papa" for her on-screen charm. She branched out into Hindi cinema with roles in Bharat Bhagya Vidhata (2002) and Love in Nepal (2004), the latter pairing her with playback singer Sonu Nigam. Flora also made her mark in Kannada films such as Giri (with Srinagara Kitty) and Nammanna (with Sudeep). Achievements & Milestones In 2008, Flora was detained in Chennai over allegations of forged visa documents and briefly banned from Tamil cinema —an order later revoked. In 2010, she achieved the rare feat of having three films—Broker (Telugu), Vismaya Pramaya, and Vaare Vah (Kannada)—release on the same day, earning her a place in the Limca Book of Records. That year, she also received the Uttarakhand Ratna Award and was honored as the Great Daughter of Soil in Mauritius for her anti-poverty advocacy. Television & Web Series Flora has expanded into television with roles such as Suvarna Bai in Mere Sai – Shraddha Aur Saburi (2020) and more prominently in web series like Gandii Baat Season 2 (ALTBalaji), Inside Edge (Amazon Prime) Season 1 & 2, Paurashpur (ZEE5/ALTBalaji), Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar, Rana Naidu (Netflix), and The Trial (Disney+ Hotstar). In 2019, Flora made her Bengali web debut in Dupur Thakurpo on Hoichoi, portraying the unforgettable Phulwa Boudi in its third season. Her latest notable role came in Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan (2023), where she played Rani Gulkanda. Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 Asha Saini, also known as Flora Saini, has officially entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 as the second contestant. Hosted by King Nagarjuna, the show premiered on September 7, 2025, on Star Maa and JioHotstar. Her bold screen presence and strong personality are expected to add a fresh spark and drama to the Bigg Boss house this season.
