Chinnaponnu aka Chinna Ponnu is a folk and playback singer who works predominantly in Tamil. She become famous with the song "Vazhthuren Vazhthuren" from Chandramukhi, starring Rajinikanth and Jyothika. Her next major hit, "Nakku Mukka", was featured in the 2008 film Kadhalil Vizhunthen made her to receive many awards. She also appeared on MTV Coke Studio television series in the episodes 'Vethalai' and 'Tere Naam' along with singer Kailash Kher and Papon. Bigg Boss Tamil Chinnaponnu is one of the contestants in Bigg Boss Tamil season 5 that airs on Star Vijay TV, hosted by Kamal Haasan.
