Biography

Dulquer Salmaan is an Indian actor, producer and singer who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry.  He is the son of noted actor Mammootty. He made his acting debut in 2012, in the Malayalam film Second Show. Apart from being one of the most renowned actors in Mollywood, he has been seen carrying himself in bold outfits, astonishing his fans and critics. Persoanl Life Dulquer Salmaan was born on 28 July 1986 as the younger son of Sulfath and Mammootty. He studied in Kerala till primary classes, after which he joined Shishya School in Chennai. He did his B.B.A. degree from Purdue University in the United States.He married Chennai-based architect Amal Sufiya, on 22 December 2011.The couple has a daughter, Mariyam Ameerah Salman Film Career The actor came into the film industry by following his father's legacy. The actor made his first debut with Second Show, directed by Srinath Rajendran. The film was released in 2012, and the actor won Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut that year. Through this film, the actor became prominent with the most followers on social media. Later, he acted in the movies like Usthad Hotel, ABCD, Charlie, Kali, Banglore Days, and Salala Mobiles. With these movies, Dulquer proved himself as a versatile and established actor in the Malayalam Film Industry. He starred in the movie, Banglore Days(2014) along with Nivin Pauly, and Nasriya Nazeezm, it was a big hit and turned out to be one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of all time.  Known as DQ and Kunjikka in Malayalam Film Industry, the actor grabbed the audience's attention with his fascinating acting skills and energetic looks in his films. In 2014, he made his first debut in the Tamil Film Industry with 'Vaayi Moodi Pesavum.  The actor won Tamil Best Debut Male Award for his performance in this movie. In the same year, he received the Kerala State Film Best Actor Award for 'Charlie'. Prince Charming Dulquer is one of the Malayalam actors who made their mark in Bollywood with 'Karwaan'and 'The Zoya Factor. The actor shared his screen space in the film'Karwan' along with Versatile Actor Irfan Khan. It was a box office hit movie. His latest  movies like Sita Ramam, and Kurup were commercially successful.'King of Kotha' is the upcoming Malayalam movie by Dulquer Salman. It's a gangster drama and will be directed by Abhilash Joshiy. Entrepreneur Apart from being an actor, Dulquer Salman is a businessman and director of a Maternity Hospital in Banglore, Karnataka. And he is also handling his digital platform for car trading. Producer Dulquer Salmaan launched his production house Wayfarer Films in 2019. Singer Dulquer has sung three songs in Malayalam Films such as ABCD, Kurup, and Charlie. Awards & Recognition For his outstanding performances in several films, Dulquer Salmaan has received many accolades and love from his audience and critics alike. He won his first Kerala State Film Awards in 2016 for his Malayalam adventure drama, Charlie.
