Rajesh Vivek is an Indian actor, best known for his role as Guran, the fortune teller in Ashutosh Gowariker's 2001 Hindi movie Lagaan and the role of a tantrik in the famous indian horror by the Ramsay brothers Veerana. He also played the role of Maharishi Vyasa in the famous TV serial Mahabharat, a successful Indian television series based on the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata. Rajesh was born to Raj Bahadur Upadhyay & Prem Kumari Upadhyay. He completed his M.A. in Ancient History & Archaeology from T.D. Degree College, Jaunpur (Uttar Pradesh). Shyam Benegal first introduced him in his film Junoon. He died on January 14, 2016 at the age of 66 due to a massive heart attack in Hyderabad.
