Kannada film industry condoles Karibasavaiah's death

The death of Karibasavaiah has left the Sandalwood in mourning. His colleagues and friends in the industry have expressed their shock and condolences at the demise of the senior Kannada actor.

Recalling her last meeting with Karibasavaiah, actress Prema said, "I met the day after he suffered the accident. The actor seemed fine and we shared some lighter moments even at that stage. When I heard his death news, I was completely shocked and did not know how to react. All I can say is we have lost a wonderful artiste and a good human being. I pray the god to give his fans and family enough strength to bare his loss."

Bank Janardhan, who has acted with him in many films, claimed that Karibasavaiah was like his brother and his death has created a vacuum, which cannot be filled. “He was a jovial man, who kept his friends happy all through with his good sense of humor. He never used to tell his sorrows and lived the life struggling for the survival. He was like a younger brother to me and we shared good friendship since two decades."

Rebel Star Ambaarish, Raghavendra Rajkumar, his close friends like Dingri Nagraj, directors Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar, TS Nagabharana, MLC Jaggesh, actress Shruthi, and others have also expressed their condolences to Karibasavaiah"s death.

Karibasavaiah passed away on Friday afternoon (February 3) after he met with an accident on January 31. He was 53 and survived by wife Shanta and daughter Veena. The actor has acted in over 200 films and his last film is Breaking News directed by Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar, who had introduced him to the Kannada film industry with Undoo Hoda Konduhoda.
