Zee TV's highlight for the weekend

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L"il Champs is back and aims to open doors for talented children of our country who dream of becoming the biggest child singing sensation. This season will only double up the singing mania as L"il kids will bring the house down with their unbelievable flair for music and talent. After its overwhelming success in 2009, 'L"il Champs 2011" is back with a bang to scout for well-trained voices, fresh talent & young energetic performers who will give a boost to the Indian music industry. Adnan Sami, Kailash Kher and Javed Ali are the mentors on the show and Alka Yagnik will act as the Mahaguru.

Watch out for Salman Ali whose performance on the song Sajda touted him to be the best performer during the auditions. Three kids who are chacha-bhatija and look the same rock the floor with their qauwallis.

The earlier season made stars from some very talented kids like Shreyasi Bhattacharjee, Hemant Brijwasi, Yatharth Ratnum, Abhigyan Das, Swarit Shukl to name a few. These winners will then head towards a series of grooming sessions and the ultimate competition in Mumbai and then finally the Numero Uno amongst them would be crowned as 'India"s Best L"il Champ".

Watch out for Vivek Rajendra, a small kid who sang Kishor Kumar songs and the mentors were so happy that they joined him on stage. His father also sang a Kishor Kumar song and regaled the audience. Raju Singh"s daughter had come for the auditions. All the judges knew her since Raju Singh is a very famous music director but she was not selected proving the fact that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is all about talent and it does not recognize clout or nepotism.

The same treatment was meted out to Sparsh Khanchandani, an Indian child artist who is one of the most popular young faces of the Indian television. She has tasted success with her role in Uttaran as the innocent little Iccha and has done cameos in CID and Shree, but she aspires to be a singer and hence decided to try her luck at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li"l Champs. According to the judges she is a brilliant actress but her singing abilities does not match the stringent ones followed in the show.
