Telugu Actress Bhargavi found murdered

Hyderabad awoke to the shocking news - mysterious death of upcoming Telugu actress Bhargavi. The actress was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her home in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The police have also found the body of a close associate of the actress, by name Praveen.

The police differ in their opinions as to whether it was a suicide or a murder. According to DCP Ravi Varma, "It may be a suicide or perhaps murder because the scene looks disturbed. We are thinking it is a murder." There are sharp and deep wounds on her body near the left shoulder and on the left side of her abdomen. It is assumed that Praveen must have stabbed Bhargavi before he committed suicide by consuming soft drink mixed with cyanide.

Among the various things recovered from the room were a blood smeared dagger, some cyanide powder packed in paper and a suicide note allegedly written by Praveen. As per the note, Bhargavi's mother's attempts to separate them coupled with their personal problems have forced them to commit suicide. He has also hinted at Bhargavi ignoring him of late, due to her rising popularity in the film world. However there has been no evidence of any struggle in the room.

Bhargavi lived in a rented apartment at Banjara Hills. Praveen's identity has raised much suspicion as he had introduced himself at times as the actress' maternal uncle or as her lover. As per the house owner, Dastagiramma, Praveen had paid the rent advance and was a frequent visitor at the actress' house.

Bhargavi had returned from her native village Gorantla, in Guntur district on Monday. She had made prior commitments for a movie shooting on Tuesday. However when the film unit sent her a car in the morning, she did not respond to the driver's call. So they were forced to break into her house. Clad in red top and jeans, Bhargavi was found lying on her back on the blood soaked mattress with nearly seven knife wounds on her body. Kumar"s body was seen beside the actress. According to reports, Bhargavi must have been murdered around 6:30 am as she had attended a call on her cell phone prior to that

Bhargavi had shot to fame through the hit Telugu movie Ashta Chemma, in which she played the second heroine. She had begun her career as a television artiste and anchor. Currently she has been shooting for the movie Holidays. A very promising and bright career awaited this young actress, with nearly 10 movies in her kitty. Praveen a singer by profession, has an orchestra team. Banjara Hills police have registered a case for further investigation.
