(TSR).
The
award
was
presented
on
the
occasion
of
the
birthday
of
TSR,
who
on
this
day,
every
year,
honours
a
member
from
film
fraternity.
Bapu,
who
debuted
as
director
with
the
movie
Sakshi
in
1967,
has
directed
51
movies
so
far.
The
director
has
already
been
honoured
with
several
National,
Filmfare,
Nandi
and
other
awards.
Vishwa
Vikyata
Dharshaka
Maharishi
award
is
the
latest
honour
coming
his
way.
Talking
about
it,
Bapu
said,
"I'm
extremely
blessed
to
have
received
this
honour.
I
will
cherish
this
moment
forever."
Over
the
years,
TSR
has
honoured
film
personalities
such
as
Shabana
Azmi,
Javed
Akhtar,
Sunil
Dutt
and
P
Suseela
among
many
more.

presented
the
award
to
Bapu
in
the
presence
of
a
galaxy
of
personalities
such
as

Rama
Naidu,
Manchu
Mohan
Babu,
Archana
and
Poonam
Kaur.
